Welcome to the Eckerd Review!
Eckerd Review welcomes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, hybrid writing, critical essays, and visual art from the Eckerd community only. Current Students, Eckerd and PEL Alums, members of ASPEC and OLLI staff, faculty, and trustees are all invited to submit work for consideration.
Our submissions are selected by means of a blind editorial process. We look for compelling content, technical accomplishments, and facility with language. We also invite submissions from writers and artists who have heretofore existed on the margins of publishing, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, individuals with disabilities, and artists of all ages.
Send us work you're proud of and excited to share with others and help us create a vibrant arts community on the Eckerd campus and beyond.

Please submit one or more nonfiction pieces. While we enjoy a wide range of voices and styles, creative nonfiction does not seek to publish research papers or academic essays (see "Critical Essay" genre). Since the journal is printed as well as available online, please be mindful that length is a consideration. Fifteen double-spaced pages is the maximum length considered.

We enjoy a large range of fictive works in many lengths. We also are interested in all styles, from the experimental to the traditional. However, since the journal is printed as well as available online, please be mindful that length is a consideration. Twenty double-spaced pages is the maximum length considered. We welcome you to submit one or more pieces of short fiction for consideration.

We welcome you to submit one or more critical essays. We accept essays that are critiques on visual art, literature, film, or any other art medium. These essays should ask us to look at a certain piece of art, literature, or film through any lens you desire (gender, sexuality, religion, etc). All submissions must include a works cited page. Because the journal is printed as well as available online, please be mindful that length is a consideration. Fifteen double-spaced pages is the maximum length considered.
